| Hello!
I'm ThreeOranges, and I arrived here when I saw the link on Gemini12590's "Felicity Worthington" vid (possibly the GREATEST FANVID EVER!, but I digress).
1) How did you come to read A Great and Terrible Beauty and which book is your favorite?
Started reading after seeing a rec for it on a Harry Potter fanforum - billed as a kind of "female version" of the boarding school fantasy story. Which it sort of is, but it's other things to.
If you were Gemma would you pick Simon or Kartik?
I'd pick the guy who WOULDN'T try to get me drunk and rape me. So, Kartik.
Which one of the girls are you most like; Gemma, Ann, Pippa, or Felicity?
Ann, but I'd like to think I'm not as ungrateful to my friends.
What are your hobbies?
Fanfics (reading and occasionally writing), film, long walks.
Where are you from (a general area like. . .Colorado, Ontario, Ohio, ^^. .)
London, England.
Favorite color?
Yellow (though fave colour to wear would be purple)
How did you find this site?
Gemini12590's fanvids
Anything else interesting about yourself that you would like to share? A dark secret. . . a strange birthmark. . . a weird story? Please tell! Razz
Nothing, except it cracks me up that Libba put "woodchucks" and "fireflies" in England in TSFT - we don't have those, we really don't!!

| You are from London! I love people from England! I really liked London when I was there. There is just so much to do. And the underground was awesome. I totally understood how it worked way better than BART which is our version of it in the Bay Area. | |

| heyy, welcome =D
London, that's wicked awesome. I've always wanted to go there.
And no fireflies? that's kind of strange. although, you have other cool stuff.. like guys in giant fuzzy hats. is it true you can get arrested for trying to make them laugh? that pretty much ruined my life dream <.<;
and tiny cars! seriously, I saw a truck with a UK plate on it and it was like 1/2 the size of a normal truck here. weird, but awesome!
and palaces! all we have is the white house. totally not that cool =P although, I've always wanted an oval room, as confusing as it would be to furnish it..
does it suck having a queen? Idk, I was only wondering because like.. in the states we get to vote for President, y'know, so we kind of have a say a bit.. but in London they just follow blood line or whatever don't they?

| Wait, I thought England was ruled by Parliament/The Prime Minister and that the royal family was basically just for appearances only... | |

| Yeah, it is. In history we were learning that even by the time the colonies were established, pretty much all the power was with parliament. A lot of the ideas of our constitution are based English ideas just different on the parts where we disagreed. (ex. actual vs. virtual representation and such). | |
