I would have liked it if Gemma ended up with Simon after or because Kartik... um... died (?) simply because it would be closure and she could still live her life with someone she enjoyed spending her time with.

At the same time though, it seems only fair that she should grieve for her love's departure for the rest of her life too. tongue
